Do You Put The Salt Tablets In Before Or After The Water Starts Boiling?Put the salt tablets in right away to give them plenty of time to dissolve as the water heats.
-
Is Your Pasta Glyphosate Free?Yes! Our pasta is grown in the rolling hills of Tuscany on a UNESCO heritage site, and no glyphosate is used to produce the durum wheat.
-
Is Your Pasta Gluten Free? While our pasta is not gluten free, many people with gluten sensitivity have an easier time digesting European-grown grains due to the minimal or no spraying of the crops and the soil. If you are very gluten sensitive or suffer from celiac disease, try our delicious risotto kits!
-
Should I Keep My Lid On Or Off While The Pasta Boils?Always with the lid off; putting the lid on while the water heats helps it to reach boiling sooner, but once the water is boiling, remove lid, gently add pasta, and stir gently.
-
How Hard Should The Pasta Water Boil?Once pasta is added to your boiling water, it will take a moment for it to return to a full boil. Once it returns to a rolling boil, make sure the pasta has plenty of room to roll and dance around in the boiling water.
-
How Big Does The Pasta Pot Need To Be?For a single packet of pasta, we recommend a minimum of 12Qt. pot, filled just past half-way with water.
-
Why Don't You Pour The Red Sauce Right On Top Of The Pasta?Authentic Italian pasta is dressed in the sauce, not eaten separately with the sauce as a topping. This way the pasta and the sauce bring out the best in each other and you get a healthy and delicious meal.
-
Am I Supposed To Rinse My Pasta In Cold Water?NO! Never rinse your pasta if you are making a hot dish! Take the freshly strained pasta and dress with sauce and olive oil right away. Often you will see the faucet running when Italians strain their pasta, but that is to cool the plumbing from the boiling water being poured down the sink - not for the pasta!
-
Can I Eat The Antipasto Right Out Of The Jar?Yes, and you wouldn’t be the first!
-
What Can I Put The Antipasto On?Charcuterie boards, pizza, salads, pasta, panini, sandwiches, soups and stews, roasted meats, or eat them straight out of the jar.
-
Do I Need To Keep The Antipasto Refrigerated?Preserved in 100% Tuscan EVOO, refrigerating the antipasto can make the oil solidify. If all contents are submerged in oil, they can stay preserved on the counter. If you consider keeping for longer than a day, we recommend storing in the refrigerator and taking them out with plenty of time to return to room temperature.
-
Can I Use The Olive Oil Leftover In The Antipasto Jar?The olive oil leftover in the jars is flavorful and delicious! You can use it for dressing salads, dipping bread, sautéing fish meat, or veggies, and dressing grilled meats.
-
Do You Use The Pasta Water For Anything?Lots of recipes call to add a bit of the pasta water to the sauce. Our sauce is very light, made with fresh tomatoes as opposed to tomato paste, and doesn’t require any added pasta water.
-
How Many Servings In One Pasta Meal Kit?One pasta meal kit can serve 4 (very hungry) to 6 people.
-
Do I Use All Three Salt Tablets For One Bag Of Pasta?Yes! Our perfectly portioned salt tablets ensure proper seasoning of the pasta. However, if you prefer lighter salt, 2 tablets are recommended.
